This project primarily consists of the following: capacity expansion from 4.0 to 6.22 MGD and upgrades of the Water Treatment Plant located at 289 Kohler Avenue and the remote Raw Water Intake on the New River at 243 Store Hill Road. Work at the Treatment Plant includes replacement of the chemical feed pumps, installation of sedimentation basin sludge collectors and tube setters, installation of an additional finished water pump, construction of sludge thickener tanks, and construction of sludge dewatering facilities. Work at the intake includes replacement of existing submersible pumps with vertical turbine pumps and associated wetwell structure modifications.
